Today was a very mellow day.  The normal hospital stuff was going on, rounds, chest x-rays, Airica wiggling around.  They continued to lower her sedation meds so she was more alert and starting to try and communicate.  Realizing that she didn't have full control of her muscles, but trying to move was so exhausting she would fall back asleep before she had time to worry about it.

We were glad to be able to be back in the room.  It felt more normal, more how it was in the beginning.  When Airica woke up I was right there to take care of her.  Now that she wasn't so critical I could help with taking care of her.  I could give her a washcloth bath, cut her nails (which had been growing like crazy), and help the nurses try to get the blood out of her hair.  There was still a lot of blood in her hair from the canulla that needed to be re-stitched.

Still more good news from the doctors.  She was getting better as each day passed.  Not only were the doctors telling us this, we could see it.  We were there with her, she knew it, and we all were just chilling for now.
